Surroundings

Hilvarenbeek and surroundings have much to offer. There are as many as 4 museums in Hilvarenbeek, each with their own, unique collection. The liqueur and soft drink museum has a unique liqueur distillery and a little nineteenth-century advocaat (eggnog) museum. In organ museum Dansant organs are restored, but also new organs are built. Museum De Dorpsdokter shows instruments of the old rural doctor from the period 1800-1945 and has a consultation room from granny's days. Museum brewery De Roos is an authentic nineteenth-century village brewery, where also new beers such as Bikse Tripel and De Witte Roos are developed.

The 'land of the Hilver', which lies southeast of Tilburg, is an ideal place to replenish one's reserves. The scenic and rural area lies in De Kempen. You can go for lovely cycling or walking tours through the varied landscape, along rural estates and typical B rabant villages. Popular attractions near Herberg Sint Petrus in Hilvarenbeek are De Efteling and safari park Beekse Bergen. Lovers of shopping can visit Den Bosch, Eindhoven or Breda.
